This charming piece in G major expresses the joy and excitement of a child’s tree house and includes chromatic fingerings, a variety of articulations, and four-note slurs. Using divisi for violin 1, viola and cello, the folk-like lyrical melody is supported by a perpetual-motion quaver accompaniment.
